Fr. Luis (Lucho) Segura, MSC
Parochial Administrator
Father Luis Alfonso Segura Ibarbo, Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.  Born on July 30th, 1971 in a small town south- west of Colombia called Bocas de Satinga in the state of Narifio.

Joined the community of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in January of 1990.
  Studied Philosophy and Theology in Bogota, did his novitiate in the Dominican Republic; first votes as a reli- gious on the 8th of September of 1995. Ordained a Deacon on November 28, 1998 and priest Nov. 13, 1999 by the hands of Mnsgr Isaias Duarte Cancino, in Jamundi.

Later, was sent to Chicago as leader of a small Colombian community of seminarians, where he remained until 2004. Returned to Colombia as leader of the Jules Chevalier seminary until January of 2016, when he was named pastor of St. Margaret Mary of Alacoque Parish, located south of Bogota. Was the Superior of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in Columbia from 2009 through Dec. 2018.

On Jan 28, 2019 was assigned as Parochial Administrator of St. Therese of Jesus in Aurora, IL.

Bruce Watermann

Deacon Bruce was ordained a Permanent Deacon of the Rockford Diocese on May 1st, 1999. He is the first Permanent Deacon assigned to Saint Therese Parish.

His ministries include: Director of the Altar Servers; Liturgical Coordinator for Holy Week and other special liturgies; certified Spiritual Director serving in the Diocese of Rockford,  leader for the RCIA program at Saint Therese, and assisting with RCIA at Sacred Heart and Saint Nicholas parishes.

Deacon also serves as a member of the Aurora Area Catholic Community program. Deacon Bruce also serves in pastoral ministry at Sacred Heart and Saint Nicholas parishes in Aurora. Since 1994 he has been involved in Prison ministry to both men and women.

Deacon serves as Chaplain for the Aurora Township Fire Department as well as the Catholic Order of Foresters, Court 1544.

Deacon is an avid Green Bay Packer football fan as well as a fan of Brewers baseball and Bucks basketball. He is a collector of "Old Time Radio Shows" with over 20,000 programs in collection.

Julio Rosado

Deacon Julio serves his Deaconate in St Therese since 2000. Before moving to the Aurora and the Diocese of Rockford, he served as a Deacon in the Archdiocese of Chicago for ten years. In 1990 he was ordained as Deacon for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Born in Puerto Rico, moved to the US in 1968. Married in 1972 and father of two daughters and a beautiful grandson.
