Eucharistic Adoration

Dear Adorer,

Thank you so much for making the decision to spend one hour a week with Jesus in our Adoration Chapel. Sister Brige McKenna in her book, Miracles Do Happen said,

"I would like to share a teaching that came to me one day as I sat before the Lord. I was just looking at the Blessed Sacrament and adoring Jesus and telling Him I did not have much to say except that I loved Him. I felt as though the Lord said to me, 'Well, don't you know that you don't have to say anything to Me. Just be with Me, it's what I want to do for you.'"

Your choice has been great. You have the opportunity to create a great friendship with Jesus, who is your best friend.

God Bless You.

What is it all about and what can I do?

    What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honouring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".

During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.

In its fullest essence ... Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!"

The Eucharist is: Jesus truly present - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity

Our parish offers several ways and capacities in which you can get involved!

Division Leaders

Responsible for one of the four time divisions, i.e. Night, Morning, Afternoon and Evening

Hourly Captains

The Hourly Captains are responsible for the Adorers who have signed up for their hour of the day. The Hourly Captain makes sure that their specific hour is covered by at least one Adorer, preferably two.

Individuals who have committed to at least one hour per week to Eucharistic Adoration. They are responsible for being on time for the hour they signed-up for and report to the Hourly Captains. Adorers are responsible for finding a substitute when they are unable to make their hour.

Phase I of our Eucharistic Adoration Program

The initial phase of our Eucharistic Adoration program has as a goal to institute a consistent and regular weekly adoration time every Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Kick off target date  10/3/2014  Fulfilled!!

Adoration will begin promptly right after the regularly scheduled 8:15 AM morning Mass. A subsequent Phase II will expand this time to include evening and night time divisions.

With the Grace from God our hope is to systematical apply this phased approach and gradually add full adoration days until we can reach our ultimate goal; to have Perpetual Adoration 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Then, we will be transformed to reflect and bring His Love, Light and Mercy on to others.

"St Therese Church, a Eucharistic Centered Parish Community with a vibrant Faith in Jesus"

You are key to the success of this program. We need your commitment of one hour of your time and spend it with Jesus. We also need your prayers so the love for the Eucharist can infuse and move the hearts of others to do the same.

You can also help by advertising this program to your family, friends and neighbors. The best advertising is by example and by word of mouth. You can invite them and ask them to visit this page and fill out our contact form. You can also print our small handout cards (located at the bottom of this page) and distribute them as an invitation and reminder to others.
